The Selective Insulation workspace is a great option for the chilly office in an attic or loft — perfect for warehouse spaces with lots of character and high ceilings but outrageous heating bills. It’s also an instant cubicle for anyone who needs a bit of visual privacy to do their best work. Looks like a post-modern cave, but whatever gets you through the day …
It took me a while to realize that I needed an office where my books and magazines (comfort food for writers) were NOT visible. Less was more and my most original work has come out of times where I only had a dictionary nearby. I still struggle with the idea that I need other writers and other ideas within grasping distance to write, but I have now resorted to quarantining my books and magazines in a room other than my “office.”
You use a dictionary? Spelng iz so ovr8ted.
